Jadwal di bawah ini seperti biasanya (jadwal yang telah saya tulis tiga tahun terakhir), merupakan jadwal resmi yang telah dikeluarkan oleh situs resmi Moto GP. Dan sekali lagi tidak jauh beda dengan tahun lalu jadwal di bawah ini bukan jadwal penayangan resmi yang ditayangkan oleh Stasiun televisi yang memiliki hak siar Moto GP (kemungkinan tahun ini adalah Trans 7), karena ada kemungkinan tidak disiarkan secara langsung.

MUGELLO - Sesi ujicoba MotoGP di Mugello, Senin kemarin, memberikan kenangan tak terlupakan bagi Andrea Iannone. Betapa tidak, pembalap Moto2 ini, untuk kali pertama diberi kesempatan merasakan dahsyatnya motor di kelas Premier, MotoGP.

Ya, sesi tes memang menjadi tradisi yang selalu dilakoni setiap tim, sehari setelah balapan. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui performa terkini motor dan juga sebagai persiapan untuk melakoni balapan berikutnya.

Pada sesi uji coba kali ini, Iannone menjadi pembalap yang bisa dikatakan paling beruntung. Pasalnya, rider 21 tahun yang membela tim Speed Master di kelas Moto2 ini mendapat kepercayaan dari tim Pramac Racing untuk menjajal kedahsyatan power Desmosedici di Mugello.

“Saya sangat bahagia akhirnya menunggangi motor MotoGP, ujar Iannone setelah uji coba.

“Saya ingin berterima kasih kepada tim Pramac Racing atak kesempatan yang mereka berikan kepada saya. Dan yang terpenting, terima kasih untuk para teknisi mesin yang mendukung saya di sesi tes kali inii,” sambungnya dikutip GPUpdate, Rabu (6/7/2011).

“Menurut saya, perbedaan antara motor Moto2 dengan MotoGP cukup besar. Motor Ducati ini punya tenaga yang sangat besar, sehingga sulit dikendalikan. Saya harus banyak belajar tentang motor MotoGP. Tapi, pengalaman ini sangat positif buat saya,” pungkas pembalap Italia yang saat ini masih tercecer di urutan tujuh klasemen sementara Moto2.

Pedrosa Tak Mau Salami Simoncelli?

MUGELLO - Ketegangan antara Dani Pedrosa dan Marco Simoncelli ternyata masih berlanjut. Bahkan, Pedrosa dikabarkan menolak bersalaman Simoncelli pada saat balapan di MotoGP Italia, pekan lalu.

Seperti diketahui, Pedrosa baru kembali menggeber motor di Sirkuit Migello, pekan lalu. Ternyata, pembalap yang akrab disapa Pedrito itu masih sakit hati terhadap insiden yang mekibatkannya dengan Simoncelli pada balapan di Le Mans beberapa waktu silam.

Kendati Simoncelli sudah menyesali perbuatannya itu, tapi Pedrito seperti belum mau memaafkan sang rival. Terbukti, dalam sebuah tayangan video terlihat Pedrito tak mau menyalami Super Sic, sapaan akrab Simoncelli.

Kejadian itu juga dilihat oleh Casey Stoner dan Ben Spies, yang hadir dalam acara jumpa pers menjelang balapan MotoGP Italia. Lantas, apa pendapat mereka mengenai Pedrito menolak berdamai dengan Super Sic?

"Saya rasa alasan Pedrosa tak mau salami Simoncelli karena dia tidak mau mengaku salah. Saya rasa seandainya Simoncelli mengaku salah, maka Pedrosa akan menerimanya. Tapi, Simoncelli mengatakan itu bukan salahnya, jadi saya mengerti reaksi Pedrosa," komentar Stoner dikutip MCN, Kamis (7/7/2011).

Spies juga mencoba mengutarakan pertikaian antara Pedrito dengan Super Sic. Spies mengaku mengerti bagaimana perasaan Pedrito. Menurut pembalap asal Amerika ini, Simoncelli membalap tanpa menggunakan hati dan dia menggeber motor dengan sengit.

"Saya rasa Simoncelli sadar sudah membuat kesalahan dan mendapatkan kritikan pedas atas insiden itu. Jadi, saya mengerti kenapa Pedrosa sangat kesal. Saya tidak berada disisi siapapun, tapi saya mengerti kenapa sejumlah orang sangat kesal atas insiden itu," tandas bintang Yamaha itu.

Nine points clear at the top of the MotoGP World Championship following victory at Le Mans on Sunday, the Fiat Yamaha rider was overjoyed at having secured the first consecutive wins of his career in the elite category.

Jorge Lorenzo’s commanding win in the Monster Energy Grand Prix de France at Le Mans not only extended his lead at the top of the MotoGP World Championship to nine points on Sunday, but also delivered the 23 year-old back-to-back victories in the premier class for the first time in his career.
Lorenzo rode a superb race to overcome the challenge of team-mate and title rival Valentino Rossi, eventually beating the Italian – who made it a Fiat Yamaha one-two – by a margin of 5.672s over the finish line.
"I am so happy to win for the second race in a row, it's the first time for me in MotoGP and it makes me feel very confident in myself,” enthused Lorenzo, whose practice of his race starts paid off. “Finally I made a good start, which I'm really happy about, then I easily got past Pedrosa.”
He continued: “Passing Valentino wasn't so easy because he was braking so deep and I had to be very patient, something that I might not have managed one year ago! Finally I overtook him but I didn't expect to be able to get away like that. My bike and Bridgestone tyres just felt so good and it wasn't difficult for me to keep this pace up.”
Lorenzo won the MotoGP race at the French circuit last year and was second in his premier class debut at Le Mans the year before, and he added: “I have had a good time in Le Mans since I joined Yamaha; one second place and two victories, so I think I can say I enjoy racing here in France!”
There was also another interesting celebration from the Spaniard as he pulled up a chair in front of a big screen at the circuit and ate popcorn, following on from his water-based antics at the last round at Jerez.
Focusing on the fourth round at Mugello in a fortnight, a track at which he finished second last season, Lorenzo expects a tough battle to maintain his advantage at the top of the standings.
“It is fantastic to be leading the Championship but there is a long way to go and now we go to Mugello, a track that I love but where my rivals are very strong,” he concluded.
